Has anyone experienced this? What can be done about it? Maybe clean installing Monterey would help? If this isn't resolved soon, I'm willing to downgrade to Big Sur, even though I'll have to suffer through setting up all my stuff in detail again. I tried to calibrate it by fully discharging it and fully charging it, but so far it doesn't seem much better and I'm expecting it to shut down again at around 55% without a warning. Charging is at 100% in around an hour, while the expected time for a full charge of this device would be around 2.5 hours. Then I plug in the charger and turn it on, after a short time the battery percentage goes directly from 1% to 55%. When I try to boot it up again on battery, it shows the loading bar and then goes completely dead. Then after around 10-12 hours of use, which would be the normal full capacity, I'm at 55% and then the computer shuts down WITHOUT any low battery warning. ![]() Then after two hours of using it for web surfing, I'm only at 96%. I think it's an Apple bug, but JetBrains will have more chance than most at getting to the bottom of it.Īfter updating my MBA M1 to Monterey, the battery percentage indicator has gone to hell.Īfter I charge the device to 100% and then use it on battery, it stays at 100% for an extremely long time. Thankfully it's being looked at by a big company (JetBrains). This thread seems to discuss similar symptoms: ĮDIT: I've found a thread with lots of people having the same problem ( ). It doesn't seem to happen in Firefox, or TextEdit. Also, I can only make it happen in two apps at the moment: IntelliJ and Sublime Text. It does NOT happen if you pick up TWO fingers before clicking. Repeat this and between 20-50% of the time it will randomly jump to another location. ![]() This is my reproduction recipe: two finger scroll with both fingers on the trackpad pick up ONE finger and tap-to-click (while leaving the other finger touching the trackpad). I'm having a similar issue, and after putting up with it for a few weeks, I'm trying to track it down.
